You should make playoff predictions for NHL/NBA/MLB using whowins.com historical data!
use conditional probabilities based on historical data to play out potential playoff outcomes. www.whowins.com has the necessary data. Maybe the sample size is too small or not to your exacting standards but could be quite interesting! I have built a budget model to predict likely outcomes for a single series, given current series status.

Average points over several seasons for relegation
In several football (soccer) championships relegation is decided using the average points over several seasons (in Argentina they use 3).
I couldn't find a way to add this in the same data as the current championship. I thought of doing a seperate championship that includes the last 3 seasons, but the problem is that teams that lost the category in past years should be excluded from the table and teams that lost the category and returned should only have the points and matches of the games after they returned.
Any ideas on how to do this or changes to be…1 vote -
Once the NHL playoffs start, can you do stats for playoff teams vs other playoff teams?
Wins/points against playoff teams only would show which teams are beating up on weak teams and which are actually good. Maybe also throw in peripheral stats, like power play conversion % and penalty kill % against playoff teams and all teams.

More decimal places on mouse hover
When hovering over a percentage in a chart (say, the "What If" chart indicating a team's chance to make the playoffs), it would be nice if a text box popped up with the percentage rounded to fewer decimal places.
As you near the end of a season, the percentages can get rather small. See: NHL: NJ Devils, currently. There are many 0's in that chart - would be nice to know how close to 0 they really are.

ROW column for NHL
Any chance you could add the ROW (regulation + OT wins) column in the NHL standings, as it is the most important tiebreaker.

CHL leagues
It would be sweet to include the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL!

Future Odds
Would love a feature that would let you select all the winners for upcoming games to see how that affects future odds.

Would you run simulations on eSports leagues?
There is a really large eSports league going on right now for the video game League of Legends (www.leagueoflegends.com). They have a few divisions around the world that ultimately come together for a world tournament at the end of the season. I'm interested in seeing tracking done for their North America (http://na.lolesports.com/) and European (http://euw.lolesports.com/) leagues.
It flows like most leagues but there are slight differences with your standard sport leagues which might cause issues with simulations. First, a team can play anywhere between 0-5 games in a given day. Second, the season is…

Why do you list the odds of a team winning the game during the game, but not before?

All hockey games should be worth 3 points
If regulation games would give the winning team 3 points and overtime/SO wins gave the winner 2 points and the losing team 1 point, would that be more equitable? It certainly would provide incentives to end games in regulation rather than having them go into overtime. It would also eliminate the disparity that we currently have with some games worth 2 points and others 3 points. How would such a system effect this year's standings?

how do you graph your time series data?
Great site! NHL Jets fan on my own time, statistician during business hours and I really like how you delivered your graphics of percentages by week... Would you care to share your code or secrets for this...

Hey, great site. I would really really love it if you added strength of schedule numbers for up to this point and the rest of the season.
If we could see the mean points percentage of the teams we have played so far and the mean for future games for all teams it could give us a great view of possible imbalanced schedules.

Add CONCACAF to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification page
Would love to follow possibilities in the infamous "hex".
I could take a crack at it. Under "add your own league" it says we can edit and play with our own submissions. Can we play with someone else's?

Show win rate (derivative of Games Above .500)
It would be interesting to see a team's win rate throughout the season in addition to their Games Above .500. You can see that teams tend to get hot and cold throughout the season, which has a big effect on Chance Will Make Playoffs. However, it's hard to get a sense of how "hot" or "cold" a team is from the Games Above .500 graph. Win Rate would show that and be very interesting I think.
